The Humors

Selected art pieces shown in the Schelfhaudt Gallery for the Fall 2022 Student Show at Paier College of Art. A set comprised of Melancholy and Sanguine, inspired by old beliefs of how humors affected the body; the series focuses on the sensation of removal and distance from loved ones despite sharing an immediate proximity to them. Furthermore, pieces evolve from wide shots to claustrophobic elements of skin and entities. Of the stories told in flesh, of the age and experience etched into every person and how between those lines is a certain unique isolation that is hard to grasp yet so simple to empathize with.
